The Corki Planter began as one of Zachary's school projects in his junior year of college - the last one he created in person before the coronavirus pandemic hit in March of 2020. However, it wasn't until later that year when Corki went through multiple iterations, vigorous testing and customer feedback that the idea really started to bloom.

The new and improved Corki Planter was created for the crowd, specifically the Kickstarter crowd. Almost a year later in October of 2021, and after Zachary's college graduation, Corki finally launched on Kickstarter with a funding goal of $8000. When the campaign ended a month later, the project was successfully funded at almost 200% of the original goal!
